On the Saturday evening my friends went to iron their clothes only to realise the ironing board had no cover and just a ripped piece of foam to use on it. I phoned the mobile number provided and the lady said she would reimburse me if I went to buy a baking tray from Tesco over the road, I therefore walked back to Tesco to realise they didn’t sell baking trays. We had planned to have a night in the apartment on the Friday night, we therefore bought food to cook, however when we returned with good we noticed there was no baking tray to cook food on, no tea towels, no cooking utensils and many of the plates and cutlery were dirty and two wine glasses were cracked and unsafe to use. We also noted that some of the beds were broken which had been ignored by the cleaner who had fitted the bed sheets on them that day, as it was very obvious the wooden legs were jutting out and some of the beds were unsafe. The beds in the rooms were stained and the pillows were 2 inches thick and barely resembled a bed pillow, however we did ask for extra pillows on the first day which were provided. Over the weekend we realised the WiFi did not work consistently and signal was very poor. On arrival we were very disappointed at the state of the apartment, the pictures shown on were very different to reality as the lamp shades and furniture on the pictures were not there or broken and the apartment looked scruffy and poorly maintained - it felt more like a hostel than a ‘newly refurbished’ apartment. Myself and 6 friends stayed at the apartments in apartment 5 for two nights on 23rd and 24th Feb.
